Don't
Mess With Texas
We do things different, here in Texas. A lot of foreigners, those who
do not live in Texas, do not understand how things and people are in
Texas.
There's been a lot said lately about the middle school rifle raffle in
Lampassas. A while back, not too long ago, a registered sex offender
approached some of the children during school hours, on the school
grounds. The proceeds will
go to build a fence around the school to keep child molesters and drug
dealers away from
our children. If the fences don't keep them out maybe the rifle will!
We're serious about protecting our kids in Texas!
When we elected George W Bush, we had record surpluses from Governor
Ann Richard's administration and surpluses from a balanced budget from
the President Bill Clinton administration in Washington D.C.. On both
counts George soon spent all of the surplus money and left Texas, and
the United States of America, in record debt. Ain't George great? And
we keep electing him!!! Ain't America great?
Texas Governor "Ma" (Mariam Amanda) Ferguson back in the
1920's was vehemently opposed to a then shocking attempt by the
Texas legislature to incorporate bi-lingual English-Spanish teaching in
the Texas school system to improve the education of a growing Hispanic
population in the south Texas cities. "Ma" Ferguson made an unheard of
impromptu visit to the legislature in session prior to the vote. She
held aloft her very own copy of the King James Bible and asked the
rowdy crowd what this book was. Someone yelled out "The Bible, Ma!" She
thundered out "What language is it written in?" someone else yelled
"English." Ma said "If English was good enough for my Lord Jesus
Christ,
then by God its good enough for the schoolchildren of Texas", and the
bill was killed by a
near unanimous vote.
Yeah, things are different here in Texas!!! Don't mess with it!
